Displays tight broody aromatics with notes of baked plums, black currant, graphite, and smokey limestone. There is a massive sweet and sour black berry concentration on the palate that has a bristling freshness, powdery tannins and saline, crystalline black cherry fruits. Really very impressive intensity, concentration and focus. A real stand out in the vintage! Drink from 2027 to 2036+.
Anticipated maturity: 2027-2036
A very pungent nose of wood toast and firm reduction completely masks the fruit. More appealing are the succulent, fresh and decidedly punchy medium weight flavors that flash both evident power and minerality on the firm, serious and built-to-age finale. The Gros Brulees always ages well and I see no reason that the 2024 version shouldn’t as well. Outstanding
