Neal Martin 87-89

A blend of Murgers and La Vigneronde, the 2024 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru comes across a little herbaceous on the nose, perhaps part of the fruit not quite reaching full ripeness. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins. Quite linear in style, it feels conservative on the finish but there is decent purity of fruit. It’s just the aromatics here that need to develop. Greg Sherwood 90-92+

A delightfully savoury, earthy, broody aromatics with sour plum, cassis and wild strawberries. Lovely tension and freshness, power with classical finesse, finishing with chalky tannins and a piercing tart berry fruit persistence. Delicately savoury but with a pronounced classical acid structure and crunchy freshness. Very pretty, stylish cuvee. Drink from 2026 to 2036+. [Greg Sherwood, 01/12/2025]

Burghound 89-92

Moderate wood stops short of fighting with the fresh blend of wild dark currant, plum and discreet earth nuances. The sleek, vibrant and delicious flavors are not especially dense though even so, they possess a seductive texture before terminating in a youthfully austere, compact and sneaky long finish. This will be a wine that’s going to need at least a few years of keeping as it’s fairly tightly wound today. [Allen Meadows, 10/01/2026]
