The final cuvee for the first vintage of Cote de Nuits Rouge now bottled under the Fixin appellation incorporated two older barrels and one new barrel creating a beautiful marriage of dark savoury saline black berry fruits, creme de cassis, black cherry and delicate oak spices. The balance is pure and precise, the fruit purity impressively focused with plenty of tension, strawberry and raspberry fruits, an underlying liquid minerality and a long, harmonious finish. A very serious, well-constructed Fixin. No Cuvee 93 from Le Champ was produced in 2024, with the fruit sold to Jean-Jacques Girard in exchange for their white grapes. So just Fixin, Jeune Rois and Clos Champ were produced in 2024. – Michael Le Guellec Drink from 2026 to 2034+.
