Rich, dark expressive aromatics show purple flowers, black plum and smoky black currant nuances. There s an incredible power and precision, focus and elegantly chalky fine grained grippy tannins. A bright crimson ruby. The bouquet suggests that this is going to be a complex and classy wine. If there is a fractional reduction, it seems to be a positive one. Some lift from the stems which are not obtrusive. The wine has a natural density of fruit on the palate, both sensual and structured, and remarkably long. Just a little sanguine note as well. Fine tannins, a really interesting Clos de la Roche. Three barrels only. Drink from 2033-2040. Tasted Nov 2025. Star rating:4 100pt score: 94-97
