Always one of Arlaud s most sensual Grand Crus, this 2024 shows an alluring aromatics of tilled earth, dark bramble berry fruits and black cherries with smoky graphite top notes. The palate is cool, taut, and focused brimming with black currant herbal tea hints, sour plum and black cherry, finishing with a pronounced tension, focus and linearity. A slightly darker ruby colour with an explosion of sensual fruit on the nose, even a very slight chocolate note. A fine redcurrant tension though refers back to the vintage, with a little crunch from the whole bunch. Or perhaps that comes from the terroir of Mazoyeres, whence this wine issues.
