Tank sample. Floral notes and mellifluous. Correct but not thrilling. (JR)
Anticipated maturity: 2027-2032
Late to finish malolactic, hence not yet sulphured. Indeed, the Meursault still has some malolactic aromatics which will soon disappear. Medium plus body, a certain generosity of fruit, significant intensity towards the back of the palate, a light toast from the oak. Not yet in place but a lot to look forward to.
Anticipated maturity: 2028-2031
An accomplished village blend using five parcels in Meursault that show complex aromatics of struck flint reduction, wet stone minerality, green citrus and crunchy peach fruit. The fruit concentration bristles on the palate enlivened by steely zesty acids, a fleshy core of concentrated yellow citrus fruits and a harmonious, balanced finish. This is a true village charmer with great character!
