Tasting Notes
Greg Sherwood 93-95/100
Jerome Galeyrand Marsannay Clos du Roy 2023 In 2023, this top vineyard produced a wine with rich expressive aromatics full of black plum, earthy black currant and sun raisined black cherry fruits. The concentration and seamless elegance are amplified on the palate, being silky, deliciously intense, and fine grained with simply astonishing purity and balance yet again. Jerome has pulled out all the stops with this Marsannay and produced another cracker! Drink now to 2035+. (Wine Safari Score: 93-95/100 Greg Sherwood MW) [Greg Sherwood, 01/12/2024]
Anticipated maturity: 2025-2035
Jasper Morris 90-93/100
Brisk fresh purple, with a certain density to the fresh raspberry fruit. This is more backward but with excellent intensity, particularly at the back of the palate where the fruit deepens, delivering the backbone of a 1er cru for sure – as it soon will be. Drink from 2028-2032. Tasted Dec 2024. 100pt score: 90-93 Jasper Morris MW – Inside Burgundy [Jasper Morris, 01/01/2025]
