Tasting Notes
Greg Sherwood 93-95+/100
An enticing, alluring exotic aromatics with tantalising high-toned notes of violets, creme de cassis, blueberries, and a maritime salinity. The palate shows power with harmony, creamy black fruits with a sweet tangy vein of acidity, finishing with black berry pastille fruits, woodsmoke, bruleed hints and pink musk. A wonderfully complex effort and very impressive for the vintage. Drink 2026 to 2038+. [Greg Sherwood, 28/11/2024]

An unusually perfumed nose, at least for Clos de Vougeot, reflects notes of red cherry, dark raspberry and newly turned humus-tinged earth. Like the Clos des Reas, the mouthfeel of the middle weight flavors is decidedly generous if not especially dense, all wrapped in a punchy, detailed and youthfully austere finale that is slightly firmer.
