Tasting Notes

Neal Martin 88-90

The Meursault Cromin 2020 is tightly-wound on the nose and needed coaxing from the glass, light citrus lemon, Golden Delicious and earthy tones gradually unfurl. The palate is well balanced with fine depth, a slightly resinous texture that leads to a pithy, wild peach-tinged finish. Give this just a year in bottle. [Neal Martin, Vinous, 01/01/2022]

Anticipated maturity: 2023-2029

JancisRobinson.com 15.5

Cask sample. Quite perfumed on the nose. Powdery, floral. Nice fleshy palate. Perhaps would benefit from a little more acidity. Early drinking. (AWH) [10/01/2022]

Anticipated maturity: 2022-2026

Jasper Morris 90-92

2020, Meursault Clos du Cromin, Domaine Patrick Javillier Currently in tank, on its finings. Pure lemon and lime colour. Lean white fruit up front, with good tension behind. Entirely white, no yellow plums, racy limestone feel with good length. Tense and long. Tasted Jan 2021. Star rating: 4 100pt score: 90-92 [Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy, 01/01/2021]
