‘A wine for Chablis lovers because of its freshness’, according to Seguier. Ripens late, always picked towards the end of harvest. 2.2 ha in three different plots: one high and east-facing on clay and marl; one south-facing on deep soil at the bottom of the hill; and one west-facing and high with the oldest vines, planted in 1936 by William’s father. Pretty firm and full on the nose. Needs quite a bit of time. Lots of impact on the palate with real precision – seems like a well-etched statue. Still youthful but with enough juice and an appetisingly dry finish.
