San Donato in Poggio. 100% Sangiovese. Dark ruby. Deep, sweet cherry nose with hints of cassis and savoury oak. Bags of intensely concentrated youthful tangy sweet fruit. Takes your breath away a little and is a trifle overwhelming but will probably age well. Fine tannic grip on the finish. (WS)
