The 2016 Corton-Perrieres Grand Cru has a crisp, well-defined bouquet with blackberry and crushed strawberry, mixed with wet limestone and loamy scents that gather momentum in the glass. The palate is not quite as structured as other vintages that I have tasted, more approachable in style without compromising on depth and fruit intensity. I appreciate the spiciness, almost pepperiness that lingers on the aftertaste. Excellent.
