The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Vrai Canon Bouche gives up bold black cherries, warm plums and redcurrant jelly scents with hints of cardamom, cedar chest and red roses. Medium-bodied, the palate has appealing freshness and restraint with a delicately chewy frame and savory finish.
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029
Dark purple. Heady, much richer than the typical Fronsac. Thick and sweet. Black fruits almost overripe. Not for me, but some may enjoy the concentration. Bitter finish.
