Surrounded by wine connoisseurs—his father and grandfather—Pierre quickly developed a deep passion for viticulture. His studies in Paris and a formative internship with René Renou, President of the Institut National des Appellations d’Origine, further fueled his interest. Under René’s mentorship, Pierre understood the importance of terroir in crafting exceptional wines.

To deepen his expertise, Pierre spent time working in some of the most renowned vineyards and cellars in Europe—first in Germany, then at Château Carbonnieux in Bordeaux, and later at Charles Heidsieck in Champagne. His education continued with a diploma in oenology in Champagne, followed by a national diploma from Dijon. Pierre’s career flourished as he worked in various wine regions across France, and it was during his time as a cellar master in Jura that he met Stéphanie, a budding sommelier, who would soon become his wife and business partner.

In 2003, driven by a shared vision, Pierre and Stéphanie founded Millemann Consulting, an oenological advisory firm, where they help estates across France and internationally achieve excellence. Pierre’s commitment to expanding his knowledge led him to earn a master’s degree in oenological research and take on a teaching role at the University of Burgundy, training the next generation of oenologists.

In 2017, Pierre embarked on his own winemaking journey, debuting with a Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru that was instantly celebrated by wine critics and connoisseurs alike. His expertise, combined with a deep respect for tradition, helped him produce wines from some of Burgundy’s most exclusive vineyards, including Corton-Charlemagne, Chambertin, Bonnes-Mares, and Corton-Renardes.

Today, the Millemann family continues to lead with expertise, passion, and integrity, producing wines that reflect their commitment to excellence. Their daughter Charlotte, who grew up immersed in the world of wine, joined the family business in 2017, bringing fresh energy and a deep understanding of their legacy.

Beyond winemaking, the Millemann family is deeply committed to philanthropy. They support the Line Renaud Foundation, which funds AIDS research, by producing a limited number of magnums of their Grand Cru wines each year, all of which are sold to raise funds for this cause. Since 2019, they’ve partnered with renowned personalities to create unique, signed magnums, with all proceeds donated to charity.
