Jerome Galeyrand has been listed as one of the most exiting producers in Burgundy over the past few years, topping many wine critics’ lists of “winemakers to watch” in Burgundy in the past 5 years. His wine making style, that is all about purity, precision and focus, has elevated both his whites and reds into the highly collectable ranks.
Jerome has also been a well-recognised and highly influential member of Les Aligoteurs, the local grouping promoting everything that’s great about this often-underappreciated Burgundian white cultivar. Nevertheless, this is an incredibly exciting, and worth seeking out his wines in the upcoming Burgundy En-primeur 2024 campaign.
Monday 16th March – Domaine Galeyrand 2024 Masterclass Tasting Event
An opportunity for a tutored tasting of the En Primeur 2024’s by Jerome himself. He will guide you through a fabulous selection of his 2024’s, along with some add-ins from the 2022 and 2023 vintages due to the very short 2024 vintage.
The wines to be tasted will include the Aligoté “Alligotay”, Aligoté “Cran” (88pts, 4 stars, JM), Meursault (94-95pts, GS), Marsannay “Clos du Roy” (93-94pts, GS) and “Est Ouest” (93-94pts, GS), all 3 cuvées of Gevrey Chambertin (from 93 to 95+ pts, GS) plus Nuits Saint Georges (93-94+pts, GS).
Incredible! Includes wonderful small plates of food in between tasting.
Tuesday 17th March – Domaine Galeyrand Library Tasting Dinner
We invite you to a “Library Collection” dinner and tasting with Jerome Galeyrand at Medlar, where you can taste various back vintages from the domaine, including (and not limited to) the extraordinary Marsannay Combe du Pre 2019 (from Magnum), his sensational cuvées of Gevrey Chambertin (en Croisette 2019, Justice 2020 and Billard 2020 and his gorgeous Aligotés from 2021 and 2022.
In addition to this, we will also be tasting his Meursault 2024, Nuits St George 2024 and Clos de Vougeot 2024. Wow!
Come and taste this library collection of wines from the domaine, it really is not one to miss. Upon arrival at 6.30pm you will receive a glass of fizz with dinner starting at 7pm. Served with a 4 course dinner from the team at Medlar on the King’s Road.
