Claire Naudin Visit and 2022 Showcase

Wow, what a stunning week we’ve just had… Claire Naudin came over to London and spent 4 jam-packed days with us, meeting regular clients who adore her wines and new clients who wish to discover her wines…

Arriving on a crisp, cold Saturday morning, we took her round some of the sights and did a series of wonderful events, showcasing her knowledge and beautiful wines from the 2022 vintage.

The series of events were in our usual manner of both a formal Michelin star dinner at Chez Bruce SW17, and some more informal, relaxed events at The Lighthouse on the Ridgway, SW19 and The Cheese Cave on Quicks Road, SW19.

There was something for everyone, and Burgundy lovers from across London and further afield came to taste the greatness of Claire’s wines. These dinners with Claire were such a roaring success and we’re really looking forward to reading Greg Sherwood, MW’s write up about the visit.

Claire’s portfolio is so varied. A big advocate for natural wines, her range is exemplary and has something for everyone. Without a shadow of a doubt, the Hautes-Cotes de Beaune white and red offer some of the best value wine in Burgundy and are perfect for everyday drinking. Her excellent Aloxe Corton (a true bargain from 110 yr old vines), Ladoix and Clematis offer wines with sublime fruit and will age over the next 5-10 yrs – however, as is so frequent with topflight Burgundy I’m almost happy drinking them now!

The true star of the show is her Echezeaux, which is probably one of the greatest reds in Burgundy to drink. Joyous, sublime, delicious – very few bottles were produced, and it was a pleasure to showcase these at Chez Bruce during Claire’s visit.
